







Michelle Choi
Michelle lately released "Michelle Choi and William Bennett's To All the Children of the World" by ALM Records in Japan in memory of William Bennett OBE who had participated in the recording with her string quartet and Jazz piano trio at Yehudi Menuhin Hall. Other albums include her recent release of Piano Trio albums, and her solo album. Her discs regularly appear on FEBC Radio, CTS Broadcast, and CPBC radio in Korea.Michelle is the leader of Manolo London Trio with which she was invited by the British Embassy Seoul by the British Ambassador, Simon Smith, and Korea Press Foundation. Sponsored by Jacob and Joseph arts management, they gave an international concert tour and recorded their album at Sony Music Studios Tokyo. Invited by the London College of Music, the trio also performed and gave a class at University of West London in Ealing.
Michelle's passion for pushing the boundaries of standard flute repertoire led her to work extensively on the repertoires originally written for strings with renowned musicians such as Steven Isserlis CBE, Henri Demarquette and Dong-suk Kang, which is often a distinct feature in her programme.
Michelle currently works as the Second Flute with the Orchestre national Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France where she plays second to Vincent Lucas, the Principal Flute of the Orchestre de Paris and as the Principal Flute and Piccolo of the Prom Praise All Souls Orchestra in the UK. She is also the official artist and adjudicator of the Singapore International Flute Competition and its Flute Festival since 2019. She has also performed and given classes as the guest artist at the William Bennett International Flute Summer School and as the teaching assistant to William Bennett.
Michelle was awarded the Diploma of Royal Academy of Music and other prizes at the Royal Academy of Music in London. In 2024, she was selected for the Academy's prestigious Advanced Diploma program, the most selective performance course at the institution. She was also the winner of the Flute Concerto Competition of the Indiana University, the runner-up at the J&J Brough Flute Prize and other awards given in the US and in the UK.
As an internationally active recitalist, Michelle travels around the world to give performance every year. Her recent recitals were held in France, London, Faversham, Wimbledon, Ealing in the UK as well as Kyoto, Nagasaki, Nagoya, Ibaraki, Kagoshima in Japan, Seoul, Wonjoo in Korea and in USA.
Michelle also holds the position of the vice-president of Jacob and Joseph Arts Management.
